Just Moved In

www.garagefloorcoatingofnj.comSo you've purchased a new home.  The concrete garage floor is clean and the walls are freshly painted.  And, the garage is EMPTY.  This is a great time to put down that garage floor coating.

You need to make sure the concrete has been installed for at least 28 days prior to installing any floor coating system. At Garage Floor Coating of New Jersey we always test for two things:
  1. For the presence of moisture, using a moisture meter.
  2. We test for a presence of a clear concrete sealer; because some concretes either have a sealer integrated into the coating at installation or applied later
You may say to your self, "Why do I need to have a brand new floor prepped"?

Even though the floor is new and relatively clean, the surface still needs to be prepped. The concrete surface needs to be open and exposed. Any unseen contaminates need to be removed.

Our preparation begins with a diamond grind. This will remove the top layer of concrete (removing contaminates) and open the concrete surface to allow our proprietary coating to penetrate into the pores of the concrete.  This gives us a solid base coat with which to continue our coating process.

You've now moved into your new home.  All the rooms are set up.  The garage can be organized with shelving, cabinetry, wall systems, etc.

The new neighbors see your garage set up, organized, and of course that beautiful garage floor looking great.

I am sure they will be jealous, and won't believe you, "Just Moved In".

  1. I have been thinking about resurface my garage for the last two years. Actually when is the best time to have the process done? Better in the fall, summer or winter in your opinion?
